What’s the Difference?
Model
45 can
be used with virtually any helmet
model other than the PASGT.
It includes the same seven helmet
liner pads used in all our helmet
liners and features and adjustable
chin strap and integrated nape
pad harness system. The pads
and chin strap/harness can be
ordered separately.
The BLSS® Kit is
used with the PASGT Helmet. It
includes the same seven helmet-liner
pads used in all our helmet liners.
It also includes a four-point
chin strap and integrated nape
pad harness system designed for
the PASGT helmet. Pads and chin
strap/harness can be ordered
separately.
The BLU® Kit
is our seven-pad helmet liner. It does
NOT include a chin strap/harness, but
are the same helmet liner pads used in
all our helmet liners. We have BLU® Kits
available for PASGT, MICH, ACH, LWH,
RBR and Marine CVC.

Aero® BLSS® Kit installed

PAIN-FREE — No
matter how long it’s worn. The visco-elastic,
temperature and pressure sensitive pads remove all
pressure points.
STABLE — In
any climate and even with externally mounted equipment.
Seven highly engineered pads respond to body temperature
to conform to the wearer’s head shape — even
in extremely cold conditions.
MOISTURE & WATERPROOF — A
proprietary coating application developed by Oregon
Aero allows submersion to 66' and passes other requirements. The
pads remain dry and retain a consistent level of
shock absoprtion.
GAS
PERMEABLE — The same proprietary coating
application permits gas, such as air, but not moisture,
to pass through.
SELF-WICKING — The
helmet is cooler — even in extreme desert heat — because
of the gas permeable pad coating and a self-wicking
fabric that draws heat and perspiration away from
the scalp, reducing heat buildup and solving the
problem of perspiration.
QUIETER — It
reduces helmet sound reverberation so auditory sense
of the surrounding environment is improved.
POSITIVELY
BUOYANT — The helmet is safer in
amphibious and water-fording situations.
EASY
TO INSTALL — The entire system
requires no helmet modifications.

BLU® Kit
Seven-Pad Replacement Kit
The Oregon
Aero® BLU® Kit was developed over a decade
ago upon request by the U.S. Military for Special Operations
MICH
Helmet.
These seven pads are the same as those manufactured for the
BLSS® Kit Model 45 and BLSS® Kit.
It does NOT include a chin strap and integrated nape pad harness
system. It includes
one
round
crown
pad, four oval pads and two trapezoid pads (standard pad
thickness depends on helmet type – see listings below).
The BLU® Kit comes in three configurations to fit the PASGT,
MICH, ACH, LWH, RBR or Marine CVC helmets.
